The weekend of the switch

This weekend has been a weekend of switch .
Our boys room switched from white to a pale grey colour very excited the new colour looks great .
My baby switched from a cot to a big bed and two nights in the transition has gone really well . He is sleeping like a baby or big boy ....
I finally attended a workshop to learn more about my camera and switching from auto mode to manual mode and I have to say I don't ever think I will be ever going back to Auto mode again . A whole new world has opened up . Thanks to Angie Baxter for an incredible workshop . I left learning so much in one day truly incredible .I have popped a few of the happy snaps that have been taken in full manual mode . Sorry a bit over excited I do apologise . It was nice to have a weekend away from work and markets and some time out for a side hobby .So our weekend of switch is over and back to routine tomorrow . Don't forget our competition that is open until Wednesday really is a great extra for the Christmas shopping list .

Weakness for animal cuteness

It is no secret that I have a weakness for all things cute and animal so I could not resist some of the cute little finds across the globe . As we head into what is meant to be summer on the other side of the globe they are layering up in some super cute animal inspired outfits :

La de dah kids bean bag

The extremely Talented Jacinda from Hide & Sleep has used our bean bags in a room for a little boy called Leo . I have also spotted our very own La De dah kids Leo the lion .

Returning to a medium pace

Life is slowly returning to a medium pace run rather than a sprint . The last couple of months have been a crazy sprint for all of us on a personal and a business level .

La de dah kids has been sprinting along not that there has been many visual to represent this but to say that it has been frantic behind the scenes has been an understatement . We are heading towards the silly season and there is much packing , invoicing and order finalising . It really is an exciting time and I am excited and inspired everyday to create new and beautiful things . The above image shows our colour palette and lab dips of our new range for winter 2013. It is a little brighter and we have added a lot more red as requested by many of our customers. We are now finalising all our colours and just working on some new packaging - which to be honest is a huge work in process .

Our new range which will be released the middle of February- has some exciting new characters which I think will bring a special something to each and every new home that they enter into .On a personal level our family from South Africa have left us - we loved having them with us and showing them the many highlights of Australia . We do really have an amazing country . I have included some highlights of our great ocean road trip and a quick trip into the Grampians . To say that I was hugely inspired by our local surrounds is an understatement . Our next range that I am starting to gather inspiration and character ideas is for  Summer 2013 so watch this space for some much loved Australian wildlife characters .

We got married

You may have noticed that the blog posts have been few and far between and there is a good reason... we got married . After 10 years of courting and two children later we finally made it official in the eyes of the law. It really was the most special way to complete our family unit of four .The day could not have been more special it really was one of the best days ever- the day I got to marry my best friend and could officially call him my Husband I could not be more proud. The day was captured by the incredibly talented Tim Coulson .
