Happy Australia Day . Hope you have a fun filled day . We are off to the beach to do some exploring in rock pools and enjoy the beautiful coast line that we live on here in Australia . I am looking forward to a change of scenery . I also have a very special sneak peak of our new Autumn / Winter 2012 range . I am bursting with excitement. We have a lot of new products that we haven't had before . Enjoy your Australia Day .

Zara love

I finally got to visit the new Zara store in Melbourne and it did not disappoint . I have a love affair with Zara in particular there kidswear items. It started after living in the U.K for 5 years .

There boyswear, in particular there denim items are affordable , durable and in great washes . A bonus was that it was on sale . I picked up a few items for the little and the big boy and my Zara lusting was satisfied . For a couple of months at-least .

Whilst our house is somewhat of a mad house , we are still enjoying living in close proximity to a beach . People often ask us now that we live closer to the beach do we actually go ... ahh yes . We do spend a lot of time at the beach and quite often after Mr T finishes work we will head down to the beach to enjoy the water and waves . It is a great stress relief and it wears the kids out so they sleep soundly - everyone wins . It really is our happy place . Do you have a happy place ?

Foxy love

So it has been crazy busy at the La de dah kids head quarters not that I think that it is ever going to change this is life as I know it . Although I need to make sure that I press that pause button every now and then the boys are growing up way to quick . - I know cliche but true .

So we are extremely busy designing , creating , designing , sampling , creating and one of those products is no other than Freddy fox . I do love a fox so here is a sneak peak of one our latest creations . And in the theme of all things foxy could not resist posting this valentines card from rifle paper co . . May be freddy needs a top hat what do you think ?

VINTAGE CIRCUS THEME PARTY

It has been a huge week and one that saw our little baby O turn 1 . We had a vintage circus themed party which was lots of fun . I made the cake a chocolate mud on the bottom and a store brought fruit cake on the top ( a later addition after I thought the cake needed a second layer ) . The decorating was so much fun and for once I avoided the Vienna cream icing and I have to say I loved the effect . The day was celebrated with family and friends in the backyard with a bbq and salad bar - much easier then party food. I think the photos speak for themselves we all had a great day . It was so good to catch up with everyone after what had been a very busy 1 year . Happy birthday baby O. ( sorry about the overload of photos )

Tuki

We have a few places that have been on our must visit list for a while and Tuki was the first to be crossed off for 2012 . It did not disappoint we loved visiting the farm with some very special friends of ours. The Heat also held out for us despite the forecast making it a great outing .Our boys loved the excitement of waiting with anticipation. Was great for Seb to see the process of catching a fish to then eating it for a beautiful lunch . I recommend a visit and the owners are great to have a yarn with over a glass of wine . Sure brought back memories of fishing on the Murray River growing up . What are some of your fond childhood memories ?
